Sounds cool. Textile suppliers that spring to mind are Dugdale, Abimelech Hainsworth and H.E. Box, they all might stock the kind of heavy covert cloth you are after. With a garment like this, I reckon the simpler the design the better, but go strong on the definition... The finishing touch is the Velvet collar, don't be obvious, pick a beautiful colour you'd be proud of!
Im interested to make a covert coat with heavier cloth, double brested with velvet collar, any ideas on this
